Paperwork Associated With Moving To Charlotte

Brian Carey - Tuesday, October 26, 2010

When moving to Charlotte, there is a lot of organizing and coordinating to be done before the move takes place. First on the list is contacting the movers. Charlotte might be a long way from where you live, so it is good to make arrangements early. Do not forget the paperwork involved. Many times, all the paperwork is not gathered together and is missing when moving to Charlotte.

An expandable, accordion type file with enough pockets for all the paperwork is the only supplies needed. Make an inventory of all household items and appliances along with their values. Do not forget the warranties. If you are selling your home before moving to Charlotte, gather all documents that will be needed for the closing.

Request and retrieve medical records from doctors and dentists for all family members. Having copies of vaccination records will make a smooth transition if you have school-aged children. Do not forget your pet's veterinary records. Keep the bill of lading and inventory from the movers handy. This will help you and the movers in Charlotte. Have clothes for a few days in case you arrive before the movers. Charlotte will keep you busy while you wait.
